Two days after a CRPF jawan was arrested for allegedly raping a tribal girl close to his camp in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district, two of his colleagues had been positioned below suspension on Saturday, an official stated.
A lady had, on July 29, accused jawan Dulichand, stationed within the CRPF’s Dubbatota camp below Dornapal police station limits, of raping her in July 27, after which he was arrested on July 30 and handed over to native police after which suspended.
Two constables who had been on sentry responsibility on the time had been suspended on Saturday for negligence in discharging responsibility and a departmental inquiry has been initiated towards them, the official added.
The 2 had not saved a file of the jawan stepping out of the camp on the day of the incident, he stated, including that the camp commander had been shifted to the management room with fast impact.
He stated CRPF (Chhattisgarh sector) Inspector Normal Prakash D visited the camp and warned personnel that “violation of self-discipline will probably be dealt severely”.
The IG stated the CRPF stood for highest requirements of self-discipline and this incident was an aberration.
The IG additionally met Sukma Superintendent of Police Shalabh Sinha and warranted him all assist from the CRPF’s facet within the probe, the official added.
The accused jawan is a resident of Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh and had just lately returned to camp from there.
