The Gujarat Anti Terrorism Squad has arrested 9 individuals and seized 54 firearms and 44 reside cartridges from numerous districts within the state, it mentioned on Saturday.

Performing on a tip-off, the ATS arrested Mustaq Baloch, resident of Morbi, and Wahidkhan Pathan from Bavla in Ahmedabad, and seized a loaded pistol and 4 reside cartridges from them on Friday, the company mentioned.

Their questioning revealed {that a} gun seller in Ahmedabad was illegally supplying arms to recognized criminals within the state, the ATS mentioned in an announcement.
