The Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi authorities is dedicated to offering reservations in jobs and training to Marathas and was working to defend its quota determination within the Supreme Courtroom, state PWD minister Ashok Chavan mentioned on Tuesday.
Mr Chavan heads the cupboard subcommittee on Maratha quota and had on Tuesday chaired a gathering on the difficulty, which was attended by Income Minister Balasaheb Thorat, Labour Minister Dilip Walse Patil, Public Undertakings minister Eknath Shinde and Bahujan Kalyan Minister Vijay Wadettiwar.
This was the fifth assembly of the committee, Mr Chavan instructed reporters.
The highest court docket is listening to pleas on the choice by the state authorities to grant reservations to the Maratha group in jobs and training.
The state authorities has filed its affidavit in SC whereas the petitioners are but to file their rejoinders.
“Now we have to see if each the petitions come up for listening to on July 7,” Mr Chavan mentioned.
